DUB PISTOLSA top band who will be taking to the main stage on Saturday night at the event, the Dub Pistols have got a packed summer playing at Snowbombing in Austria in April and Bestival in July amongst many other events all around Europe. The band have a great swagger about them and 'bring some much needed Rock'n'Roll to the Dance scene.' They have done remix work with some big names including Moby, Crystal Method, Limp Bizkit, Bono, Korn & Ian Brown, as well as working with hiphop legend Busta Rhymes.
Goldie lookin' chain dj setGoldie Lookin' Chain have been entertaining audiences around the UK and beyond for 10 years now after they released 'The Manifesto', which featured classics such as 'The Maggot' and 'You Knows I Loves You'. Their first Newport show was at the City Live Arena, supporting Super Furry Animals, and since then they've also played with The Streets and The Darkness. The GLC played their first headlining gig in Newport in February 2004. They will be performing a DJ set on the main stage at RugbyRocks Yorkshire this summer and we cannot wait!
ti amoOur first confirmed artist for the inaugrual RugbyRocks Yorkshire is Bradford indie rock outfit Ti Amo. This four piece rock band have been receiving some great plaudits: "Amazingly enough every member of this band has star quality". In their own words "In an era where style is very much over substance, where rock music in it's purest form is considered a crime, Ti Amo are keeping it simple, and making simple sound incredible."

Another great local band the Happy Daggers will be playing at RugbyRocks Yorkshire this June. A Leeds based four piece who's well crafted songs are driven by a thumping rhythm section and soul drenched vocals, Happy Daggers mix the upliftingly melodic with a highly infectious and energetic beat. Light-hearted, high-spirited, pop n roll! To quote one local music critic, "this is music that makes you happy!"

Joshua Roberts is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and energetic young DJ’s on the circuit. Joshua learned to mix when he was just 11 years of age, he was already being recognized for both his mixing ability and his capability to move the crowd. Having already graced the top radio station in his region (Kiss) with his presence at the age of 15, he then became a national champion two years later at just 17, winning the BBC Radio 1 & UKCC National Young DJ Search; a nationwide competition for 14 – 17 year olds to showcase their mixing talents.

Rising stars of the Yorkshire music scene Operator Six were the winners of the Play Music 'Britains Best Unisigned Band award', described by NME in their top unsigned bands as British Bluesy Rock. Five experienced musicians from Yorkshire, performing original yet contemporary songs. An eclectic mix of style and content from the several singer-songwriters in the band. Songs that indulge vocal harmony with duelling electric violin and lead guitar. A melting pot of varied influences and sheer enjoyment of music. Having performed at several Yorkshire festivals in 2011 (as Nilbanter), 2012 sees the sees the launch of this new venture with the release of their debut album this Spring.

Declan Kelly is the new kid on the block, but don't underestimate this guys talent. Managing to secure two residences in leeds within a matter of months of hitting the scene, Declan is looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Inspired by Like Mike, Dimitri Vegas and Laidback Luke, Declan plays a mash up of commercial house and big festival tunes. A Dj not to be disregarded! This summer Declan will be playing both RugbyRocks London and RugbyRocks Yorkshire.
